Go Teddy, GO!!!

January 12, 2009

The most pressing off-season issue for some Nationals fans may be how the Presidents are getting ready for the 2009 season. Will Teddy win a race in 2009? Here’s a look at how last season panned out:

Abraham Lincoln 49
George Washington 17
Thomas Jefferson 14
Teddy Roosevelt 0

Abraham Lincoln was last years champion by a substantial margin and Teddy was always the hard luck loser with nothing to show but a goose egg for 2008.

Clinton Portis Characters

January 9, 2009

Hopefully the Redskins front office is spending the off-season figuring out how they can improve the offensive line. In the meantime, I wonder what Clinton Portis is up to? This video clip could have some answers:

Portis shows off new characters Dr. Do Itch Big, Prime Minister Yah Mon, Bud Foxx, & Electra.

Extreme Urinal Makeover

January 9, 2009

I wish I understood hockey, because the Capitals are the only play-off team in DC right now. I also wish I understood hockey fans. Apparently, the Verizon Center urinals have been newly decorated with New York Rangers logos for this past Saturday’s game. Now dedicated Caps fans can can work on their aim and support the caps at the same time. I have a theory that giving drunk fans something to aim at in the urinals might actually help keep the bathrooms a little bit cleaner. Maybe we should all start paying more attention to hockey. The tough guys on skates representing DC are actually good, so good that Wizards fans should pay their respect the next time they are in a Verizon Center bathroom. Something tells me that you won’t be able to find the same type of Capitals propaganda in the women’s room, but I’ve been wrong before when it comes to hockey.

P.S. Don’t shake the hand of the guy who gave the urinals a facelift.

Reason to hang on to your Wiz tickets

January 7, 2009

You might be scratching your head looking for reasons to still show up to the Verizon Center and support the Wizards. ¬†Well, there’s still some entertainment value to visiting the arena even if the Wizards don’t turn things around…
